EQUAL @ USCL
EQUAL @ USCL is a student group founded on the basic principle that people should be treated equally, regardless of sexuality, gender, race, or social class. Our primary mission is two-fold:
- To provide a safe environment for students to interact and network with each other, engage in social activities, and develop personal character without fear of discrimination on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, and
- To engage our campus community in dialog surrounding issues of inequality in an effort to build empathy and understanding which helps ensure the inclusivity of our campus and our community.
EQUAL is a newly formed student group, and we are always looking for new students to get involved. Whether you have a direct personal connection to issues of equality or simply wish to show your support for universal equality, you’ve come to the right place. Our mantra is simple: WE LOVE YOU FOR YOU. That simple, singular message permeates everything we stand for and everything we do.
EQUAL meets biweekly, every other Tuesday @ 2:30pm in Bradley, room #111. Please see our list of upcoming events below for specific dates. If you are interested in learning more about EQUAL, but are unable to attend one of our regularly scheduled meetings, please email Nicholas Guittar and/or post a message on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/EQUALatUSCL.
