In 2008 Delta Links was founded by the Lancaster Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. whose sole purpose was to allow the members to be community role models and provide mentoring, academic support and higher educational opportunities for females enrolled at the University of South Carolina Lancaster.

With the guidance and mentorship of the members of the Lancaster Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Delta Links organization has provided community service through various youth group organizations. As a direct result of membership in Delta Links, the group has experienced improved academic performance and an increased retention and graduation rate.
