Get in the Groove and on the M.O.V.E., a campus wide
fitness initiative that is open to USCL faculty, staff, and students.
The general premise: 6 teams with 5 people per team,
including a student leader and a faculty/staff leader to keep
them on track. M.O.V.E is a 12 week program requiring 30
minutes of aerobic exercise 5 times per week, strength training
3 times per week, and support/group sessions offered by counseling
professionals once/week.
The goal of M.O.V.E is not to lose a certain amount
of weight or wear a certain size, the goal is just simply to get
people moving.
Several incentives will be offered ranging from
pedometers, water bottles, Carolina football tickets, iPods, and
adventure trips. The Spring sign up deadline is January 31..
Along the way participants will learn about proper exercise techniques,
healthy eating tips, and how anyone can achieve an active and healthy
lifestyle.
The M.O.V.E
initiative is being backed by the USCL Office of Student
Life,
Counseling Center, and Campus
Health Services.
To sign up, complete the M.O.V.E.
