Dr. Roddey Honored With Two Awards

Dr. Bertha Maxwell-RoddeyDr. Bertha Maxwell Roddey, Lecturer, African-American Studies at USC Lancaster, has been selected as a 2010 Arch of Triumph Award Recipient by Johnson C. Smith University in celebration of the 143rd Anniversary of JCSU's founding. An Awards Ceremony takes place on April 17.

Dr. Roddey has also been selected as the recipient of the Dr. Johnnetta B. Cole Living Legend Award from Mahogany Dime LLC, an arts and entertainment company whose Foundation works with underprivileged African American girls in programs designed to foster healthy self esteem. Their annual event recognizes outstanding African American women who are doing great things in North Carolina and will also be held on April 17.
