GEORGIA HARRIS (1905 - 1997) In 2008, the Native American Studies Program at USC Lancaster mounted an exhibit on Georgia Harriss life and art, the Catawba Indian traditions that shaped her work, and which she helped to preserve. The exhibit featured examples of Georgia Harriss pottery, works by those who taught her as well as those she taught, and other materials drawn from the USCL Thomas J. Blumer Catawba Research Collection, and additional displays highlighting the unique history of Catawba Indian pottery. This online exhibit is a permanent companion to that exhibit.
