Where Futures Begin

Books.
Library materials are organized according to the Library of Congress Classification System. Find call numbers by using the the Library Online Catalog online catalog.

Electronic Books.
Additional books are available electronically through the NetLibrary collection. The catalog of books is searchable at the NetLibrary web site, but all titles are listed in the Library Online Catalog as well.

Native American Studies Archive
The Library recently opened its new Native American Archive.  The collection began with the acquisition of the papers of noted Catawba scholar Thomas Blumer.  Other collections on Native American research are being added.  The archive is designed to promote a better understanding of local and state Native American history and culture and will support the new USCL Native American Studies program.

Periodicals.
The Library subscribes to over 200 magazines and journals. Many are indexed in our databases* and all titles are listed in the Library Online Catalog. Still more journals are available online in electronic collections such as JSTOR, Project Muse, EBSCOhost, and ScienceDirect     (*Some electronic resources at Medford Library are provided by DISCUS and Collegiate DISCUS.)

Government Documents.
Medford Library is a selective Federal Depository Library, providing residents with free access to many publications of the U.S. Government. New publications arrive daily, and much also can be accessed over the Internet.
