Congratulations!

You have completed the Medford Library Web Tutorial.

Remember this advice:

  • Learn to use the Web, and practice until you're competent at it. It's growing and changing, but it's not going away.

  • Not everything is on the Web, so be sure to utilize print resources as well.

  • Use the Internet wisely. Not everything on the Web is good information. Learn to recognize quality and discard propaganda. Use academic guides to the web as often as possible for your college research.

  • Whenever you use search engines, be persistent in searching. If your first search is unproductive (or too productive) keep trying by using different words, more words, or other tactics suggested in the search engines' help pages.

  • Learn to correctly create citations for the information you use from the Web. Your instructors will require it.

  • In the Library, ask for help if you need it. That's what we're here for.

Safe traveling in your journeys on the Web!
