UNCLASSIFIED POSITIONS

Assistant Professor of Sociology

The University of South Carolina Lancaster, a regional campus of the University of South Carolina located approximately thirty-five (35) miles south of Charlotte, NC seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Sociology beginning August 16, 2014 or January 1, 2015. Applicants should hold the Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Sociology or a related field including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach selected Sociology courses.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching at the university level. This experience could have been gained during the course of pursuing a graduate degree.  The position will normally require the teaching of four courses per semester or its equivalent, including evening and distance education classes as needed, as well as a commitment to scholarship and university/community service. STAFF POSITIONS (CLASSIFIED SLOTTED)

Administrative Coordinator I
Band 5, Minimum Salary $38,166 annually

The Administrative Coordinator I plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates administrative and support services primarily for the office of the University Dean and secondarily for campus administrative functions. This position serves as the Dean’s liaison with Columbia campus administration, service area legislators, local government, foundation and commission, faculty, staff, students, and the general public. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for direct supervision of student assistants and/or temporary employees working in the receptionist/ switchboard area. This position also serves as a liaison with all staff supervised by the University Dean. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and six (6) years related experience in business management, administrative services or related field; or equivalency.  This position offers the State of South Carolina benefits package. Accountant/Fiscal Analyst III (Accounts Receivable Manager)
Band 6, Minimum Salary $38,703 annually

The Accountant/Fiscal Analyst III (Accounts Receivable Manager) provides functional supervision of the student tuition and fee payment process; financial aid sponsor billing and collection process; revenue refund voucher process; returned check collection process and other related loan and accounts receivable procedures. Incumbent is familiar with and assists with all activities within the Business Office.  The position requires a  Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 2 years related experience. This position offers the State of South Carolina benefits package.
