I’m excited and honored to be teaching Spanish at the University of South Carolina at Lancaster. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I was born and raised in Mexico City. I moved to The United States in 1989 with my husband and my two daughters.

As a good Mexican I love "MARIACHIS" and Mexican food but not too spicy.  My passion besides teaching is to travel around the world.  I have had the opportunity to visit Spain, Israel, France, England, Canada, Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland.  In addition to these trips, I had also the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing vacation at the Mexican beaches like Cancun and Cozumel.  In my free time, I like to read, draw and paint.

I would like to keep traveling and learning more from other cultures.  I am especially interested in the Aztecs, Mayans, Incas and the African presence in the Hispanic countries.
