During
Spring Break 2007, students from USCL joined the 11th Annual Johannes
Kolb Archaeology and Education Project in Darlington County, SC. The
students were involved in site discovery, survey, and site excavation.
In addition, several USCL professors visited to work and observe.
The site contains a near
complete record of human activity over the last 13,000 years
with Native American, African American, and Euro-American artifacts
and features preserved in place.
