Kolb Excavation

During Spring Break 2007, students from USCL joined the 11th Annual Johannes Kolb Archaeology and Education Project in Darlington County, SC. The students were involved in site discovery, survey, and site excavation. In addition, several USCL professors visited to work and observe.

The site contains a near complete record of human activity over the last 13,000 years with Native American, African American, and Euro-American artifacts and features preserved in place.
