Course Information

CHEM102: Fundamental Chemistry II Lecture and Lab
This course is a science elective surveying organic and biochemistry. It is the second of a terminal two-semester sequence.

CHEM333: Organic Chemistry I
Contemporary theories, nomenclature, reactions, mechanisms, and syntheses of carbon compounds. Required for chemistry majors. Three lecture hours per week. Prereq: CHEM 112 or CHEM 142.

BIOL250L: Microbiology Laboratory
This one credit hour laboratory course accompanies the BIOL 250 lecture, but the grading and credits are independent.

CHEM550: Biochemistry
Description of biological macromolecules and major metabolic pathways. Cross-listed as BIOL 541. Three lecture hours per week. Prereq: CHEM 334 or the equivalent.

CHEM550L: Biochemistry Lab
This one credit hour laboratory course accompanies the CHEM 550 lecture, but the grading and credits are independent.Cross-listed as BIOL 541L. Three laboratory hours per week. Prereq or coreq: CHEM 550.
