SOLAR ECLIPSE

Eclipse

On Monday, August 21, 2017, the continental US will experience a total solar eclipse. In South Carolina, we should see the effects of the eclipse between roughly 1:15 pm and 4:05 pm with about 99% obscuration in Lancaster, SC between about 2:40 pm and about 2:44 pm. USC Lancaster faculty, staff, students, and invited guests are invited to join us for a viewing of this celestial event. Protective eyewear will be available in the Hubbard Hall lobby beginning at 1:00 pm. Please come to the lobby in time to get glasses before the height of the eclipse.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO VIEW THE ECLIPSE WITHOUT APPROVED EYE PROTECTION.
