Camp Easter Seals UCP Virginia is located about forty five minutes northwest of Roanoke in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.  We offer children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy wide variety of fun and challenging activities in a unique and supportive camp atmosphere.  Our campers have a variety of disabilities including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and several other physical and intellectual disabilities.  Throughout the summer camp offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy to kids/teens.  The summer ends with a week for families that have a child with a disability.  The campers seem to have a lasting impression on the staff.

 

To help contribute to camp’s unique and supportive atmosphere we are seeking camp counselors and program specialist for summer employment.  Camp counselors supervise and care for the campers’ personal needs as well as lead and assist campers with camp activities.  Program Specialist plan, implement various camp activities, and assist counselors with camper care and supervision.  Camp counselors and Program Specialist come from around the country and world to work at camp.  Many of the staff have described their experience at camp as “Life Changing!”
