Randy Jordan Named Coach
of the USCL Women’s Soccer Program
Randy
Jordan has been named the new coach of the USC Lancaster Women’s
Soccer Program. Prior to being selected to lead the Lancers,
Coach Jordan served from 2004-2009 as the head varsity coach for the
boys soccer program at Andrew Jackson High School. He also was an assistant
at Buford High School in 2002 and 2003. Throughout his six seasons
at Andrew Jackson, Jordan amassed over 90 victories, led the Vols to
five top-ten finishes, and in 2008 was named Region VIII-AA Coach of
The Year.
Coach
Jordan has also guided the Lancaster County Discoveries U-18 Boys Club
Team since 2002. In 5 of the past 7 seasons, his teams have finished
in the top 3 of the Classic Division. He currently holds a national
USSF-D License.
Coach
Jordan is a graduate of Lancaster High School. He attended Coastal
Carolina University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree
in Health and Physical Education. During his freshman year, Jordan
was a walk-on player for the Chanticleer baseball team. He then
began playing club soccer with a team in the Myrtle Beach area. By
his junior year, he was awarded an athletic scholarship to play on
the men’s soccer team and was eventually selected to serve as
the team captain for Coastal Carolina during his senior season.
Jordan
is married to the former Denise Wade of Lancaster, who is also employed
as an adjunct faculty member at USCL. The Jordans have two children,
Jayson and Kristen. Jayson will earn his master’s degree
in Civil Engineering from Clemson University in May 2009. Kristen
attends Winthrop University, where she is scheduled to complete her
B.S. in Elementary Education in 2010. The Jordans are active
members of St. Luke United Methodist Church in the Elgin community. |
