Ally Program at USC Lancaster

What is an ALLY at USCL?

The Ally Program seeks to empower administrators, faculty, staff and students to create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) members of our campus and community. By providing support, resources, and educational programs, Allies help LGBTQ students find their place and remain a vital part of USCL.

Who is an Ally?
Allies are faculty, staff, and students at USCL who provide a supportive and welcoming environment for LGBTQ students. Members of the Ally Program at USCL may publically post a placard with the Ally logo to identify themselves (see image above).

Each Ally has attended a training session prior to becoming part of the Ally Program at USCL so that they may become familiar with the benefits and responsibilities of being an Ally.

How do I become an Ally?
All you need to do is sign up to attend one of our upcoming Ally training programs. Ally trainings come in 60 and 120 minutes versions and are facilitated in a comfortable, expressive environment. Please see our Training Calendar, and RSVP to attend a training session. For information on how to schedule training for a group, office, or other organization, please contact Nicholas Guittar, program coordinator.
