Associate in Science in Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice curriculum is designed to prepare students for careers in law enforcement, investigation, corrections, law enforcement management, probation and parole, the court system, jail administration, juvenile rehabilitation, insurance investigations, and community service.

In order to receive an Associate in Science degree in criminal justice, students must complete 60 semester hours of required courses as outlined in the criminal justice curriculum.

General Education Requirements
 

ENGL 101 3 Hours 
ENGL 102 3 Hours
One course chosen from ENGL 282 or above or THSP 140 3 Hours
Four courses from the following fields: 
    Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology		 12 Hours
Two courses from History and/or Political Science and/or Government  6 Hours
Math/Computer Science/Business Administration/Economics 12 Hours 

 Major Requirements
 
To be chosen from:  LCRJ 271, 281, 282, CRJU 101, 
      211,221		 15 Hours 
Electives 6 Hours

 
TOTAL 60 Hours
