Associate in Arts
Overview
The mission of the Associate in Arts (AA) degree, offered through USC Lancaster, a regional campus of the University of South Carolina, is to provide associate degree opportunities to students in a six‐county service area (Lancaster, Chester, Chesterfield, Fairfield, Kershaw, and York). Drawing upon the strengths of multiple disciplines, the AA degree program provides students with the skills and preparation needed for advanced baccalaureate study.
Students completing the Associate in Arts degree program at USC Lancaster will achieve fundamental skills, knowledge, and capacity for critical thought necessary to pursue further learning, to succeed in their chosen career fields, and to assume the responsibilities of informed and enlightened citizenship in their communities and in the wider society.

Associate in Science in Business
Overview
The mission of the Associate in Science in Business (ASB) degree, offered through USC Lancaster, a regional campus of the University of South Carolina, is to provide educational opportunities that will prepare students for careers in business and industry as well as meet the preliminary requirements that transfer into the four‐year Integrated Information Technology Program (iIT) offered at the University of South Carolina Columbia.
Students completing the Associate in Science in Business degree program at USC Lancaster will achieve a foundational understanding of business practices, financial and economic concerns, and information technologies for the workplace. In the process of acquiring this knowledge, they will develop the fundamental skills, knowledge, and capacity for critical thought necessary to pursue further learning, to succeed in their chosen career fields, and to assume the responsibilities of informed and enlightened citizenship in their communities and in the wider society.

Associate in Science in Criminal Justice
Overview
The Associate in Science in Criminal Justice (ASCJ) degree, offered through USC Lancaster, a regional campus of the University of South Carolina, provides students an opportunity to study issues of law enforcement, courts, corrections, education, juvenile services, and planning and research. Students completing the program will possess a common language, a fundamental knowledge base, and a mutual understanding of criminal justice problems. Drawing upon the strengths of multiple disciplines, the AS in Criminal Justice degree program also provides students with the skills and preparation needed for advanced baccalaureate study.
Students completing the Associate in Science in Criminal Justice degree program at USC Lancaster will achieve a foundational understanding of crime and societal responses to crime. In the process of acquiring this knowledge, they will develop the fundamental skills, knowledge, and capacity for critical thought necessary to pursue further learning, to succeed in their chosen career fields, and to assume the responsibilities of informed and enlightened citizenship in their communities and in the wider society.

Associate in Science in Technical Nursing
Overview
The mission of the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program, a cooperative program between the University of South Carolina Lancaster and York Technical College, is to prepare students for the practice of registered nursing to provide direct client care across the life span by addressing acute and chronic health care needs and common well‐defined health care problems in hospitals, long‐term care facilities, and certain community health agencies.
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Computer Adaptive Testing of the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses. Graduates who successfully pass the NCLEX are eligible to apply for licensure to practice as a registered nurse in any of the 50 states or U.S. territories.
Learning Outcomes
Students completing the Associate Degree in Nursing program at USC Lancaster will demonstrate the ability to perform and appropriate client assessment, safe pharmacology knowledge and sills related to specific medications using the seven rights of medication administration, professional writing skills, and the application of critical thinking strategies when providing acute nursing care for clients with complex health problems.
