ACADEMIC
QUIZZES
Quizzes
will be given every 15 minutes starting at 8:30 until 11:20. Students
will be admitted into the testing room only at 8:30, 8:45, 9:00,
etc. They must remain for the duration of the quiz. Students
are allowed 12 minutes to do a quiz.
Students
may take only one quiz per session, but may take as many
quizzes as they'd like. The student with the top score for each quiz will
win a $300 scholarship ($150 per semester). Ribbons will
also be awarded.
The
following QUIZZES will be given:
AMERICAN PRESIDENCY - Multiple choice questions
on knowledge of US Presidents.
CURRENT
EVENTS - Multiple choice questions on newsworthy events. There
will be an international current events quiz and a US current
events quiz.
ENGLISH
GRAMMAR AND USAGE - Multiple choice questions test your recognition
of correct grammar and usage.
FRENCH -
Multiple choice questions will demonstrate competence in
the French language.
GEOGRAPHY - Multiple choice questions
are based on world and US geography.
HUMAN SPELL CHECKER - Multiple choice questions test
your ability to spot the correctly spelled word
LITERATURE
- Multiple choice questions focus on American and British
literature.
MATHEMATICS - Multiple choice questions
test your knowledge of algebra and calculus.
POETRY
- Multiple choice questions on knowledge of poetic terms,
poems, and poets.
SC
HISTORY - Multiple choice questions on knowledge of SC history.
SCIENCE
- Multiple choice questions cover general science, biology,
chemistry, physics, and astronomy.
SPANISH - Multiple
choice questions will demonstrate competence in the Spanish
language.
SPORTS KNOWLEDGE - Multiple choice questions
are taken from recent events. 
U.S. HISTORY - Multiple choice questions focus on people
and events from American history.
WESTERN CIVILIZATION - Multiple choice questions are based
on events and people significant to Western Civilization.
